on that front i think the entire first game cast suffers from becoming less relevant once we're done with their arc.

Rein is support for shulk from the get go.
dunban is a mentor archetype that doesn't die.
Riki doesn't have an arc but is very fun

@TacticalFE @EdelgardCykes personally speaking i found Riki & Meli to be better healers that's all. compounding that, Meli is great utility if you're playing her, whilst Riki doubles as a HP tank.

@alolansol personally love it, don't feel like every boss design should by restricted by player usage in mind. final bosses especially should be breaking rules, that's what makes someone like volo memorable.
