Charlie Kirk promoted and practised the idea that people with conflicting worldviews can settle their differences through words, not violence.

Sadly, too many people today have pushed the idea that "speech is violence", blurring the lines between the two.

Yesterday's terrible events remind us that speech is not violence and violence is not speech.
