5 minutes of Battlefield 6 footstep audio playing too late, in the wrong spot or not at all.
Make sure to use headphones when watching this.
This has been one of my top 3 issues since the beta. We shouldn't still be dealing with this nearly a year later.
The core message from @swaguley is correct. BF6 is weirdly fast in the wrong areas. Vaulting, grenade throwing, ect are all poorly animated and "twitchy".
However, the tweet I linked below is also valid. A lot of the BF4 numbers he lists are wrong + he isn't taking larger hitboxes into account

I'm tired of the constant gaslighting of Battlefield players into thinking BF6 is the "slowest game in the franchise". It's not.
It's only a talking point because base sprint speed in BF6 is 0.5 m/s (7.7% or 0.4% knife sprint vs sprint perk) slower than BF4. That's virtually the ONLY thing that is slower about BF6.
Let's look at the speed of every OTHER action in BF6, shall we?
- Walk/Jog Speed: 9.3% FASTER than BF4 (+ 50% FASTER sprint acceleration ramp-up)
- Mantling: 42.1% FASTER than BF4
- Low Fence Vaulting: 40% FASTER than BF4
- Medium High & High Ledge Mantling: Route Bypassing (Allows climbing shoulder-height and overhead barriers that required full detours in BF4)
- Idle Hipfire Strafing: 18% FASTER than BF4
- Base AR ADS Strafing: 9.3% FASTER than BF4
- Idle ADS Speed: TIED / UP TO 25% FASTER than BF4 (100โ300 ms loadout-dependent vs. BF4's fixed baselines)
- Jump Fire Recovery: 50% FASTER than BF4
- Slide Exit Velocity: 120% FASTER EXIT than BF1 (+ 8% momentum loss vs 58% in BF1 + slide jumps)
- Average Weapon Reload Time: 21.4% FASTER than BF4
- Grenade Throw: 37.5% FASTER than BF4
- Supply Pouch Throw: 67.2% FASTER than BF4
- Sidearm Swap Speed: 28.6% FASTER than BF4
- Sprint to Fire Transition: TIED (~200 ms baseline on standard setups in both games)
- Prone to Stand Transition: 36.7% FASTER than BF4
- Crouch to Stand Transition: 33.4% FASTER than BF4
- High Fall Landing Recovery: 40% FASTER than BF4
- Advanced Traversal Mechanics: Slide Jumps, Jump + Slide Jumps, and High Fall into Slides (Not possible in BF4)
If you believe BF6 is the slowest in the franchise, you're wrong, and you probably played way too many hours of 2042 leading to your brilliant observation.
If you have felt like BF6 is faster than classic Battlefield games like BF3 and BF4, but you couldn't put your finger on exactly why, these are the numbers to prove it.
Funnily enough, they made the speed of everything in BF6 almost 1:1 with MW19, go figure.
