The reaction from Dead by Daylighg players to Art the Clown from Terrifier being added is proof of what I've said for YEARS now about DbD and it's audience.
1. It's no longer a horror game
2. The DbD player base are cringe posers who don't actually like horror
Art is Horror.
@SuchFortune_ The Thing from The Thing
Beta from TWD
Nosferatu or a more classic dracula type than Castlevania
Pennywise
The creatures from A Quiet place could be cool
Not Aunt Gladys directly but her powers would work very well in-game methinks
Off the top of my head
@Welovetrypi There's also an ongoing lawsuit that says the director didn't go through the proper legal SAG-AFTRA channels for filming nude scenes, which implies a lack of written consent. But really my original point is just that I think the movies are boring and shallow
@guyfroma__42586 Why would I talk to someone who very obviously doesn't actually care. A literal lawsuit isn't enough for you to accept that hey maybe their cast weren't always treated perfectly
@guyfroma__42586 It's not about quantity, by that standard every Friday the 13th movie is a feminist masterpiece. It's about how these movies treat the women in their cast, on and off screen, at which Terrifier does a bad job.
@guyfroma__42586 It's everything people mock slashers for being. Shallow, boring and reliant on effects and an enjoyment of women's suffering. I've heard 3 tried to be more of an actual movie but to call this franchise "good" is very funny

@Gapey1999 As I've gotten older I've definitely gotten more of a distaste for mindless gore, which is most of the spectacle of Terrifier from what I remember of those movies
@zoinks420xx Imo the Friday franchise had a lot worse treatment of its female stars off-screen in the 80s but that was more than 40 years ago and doesn't excuse the amount of love Terrifier has for torturing its female cast
