@TheQuartering Makes me laugh that people get squeamish about this kind of stuff. You ingest tons of microscopic bacteria and other microorganisms every day. Not to mention your body. Well let’s just say you,re never alone lol
@dialacina@tha_rami@PasteMagazine True, but they chose to go with a very distasteful headline clearly intended as clickbait. They deserve the backlash.
@GabrielEdit@legndofphoenix@BradG312@anybodys_mayor@jparaLove By extension, it's also free exposure for the music artists but the music industry can't seem to clue in. I have discovered several music artists through games which I likely would have never otherwise come across.
@GabrielEdit@legndofphoenix@BradG312@anybodys_mayor@jparaLove When it comes to video games in particular. Do you know why developers and publishers don't make a stink? Because they know it's mutually beneficial! It's free exposure and marketing for the game.
@jparaLove Unfortunately, we have people like U.S Senator Thom Tillis more interested in creating a bigger problem rather than finding an amicable solution. Everything evolves, the world needs to adapt.
@jparaLove Hilarious dude. But in all seriousness, the whole DMCA situation is just ridiculous and they need to get it together. Viewers tune in to watch a streamer's content not to listen to the damn songs in a game. The DMCA seriously needs amendments!
@jparaLove For the most part, DMCA strikes seem to be due to copywritten music playing in the background and/or intrinsically part of the game. It's nice to see some developers are adding streamer-friendly features to help out with the issue but it shouldn't be necessary in the first place.
