My belief and that of many is that it has to do with tumor involvement in the cystic duct and perhaps contrast filling into GB with contamination

Patient returned for PD stent removal as it did not spontaneously pass and the sphincterotomy defect healed nicely with PuraStat!

⁉️Novel application of PuraStat⁉️

Case: Minor defect after dual sphincterotomy with 5Fr x 2cm PD stent already in place

Tx: PuraStat applied to create “sealant” & 5Fr x 7cm biliary stent placed to prevent obstruction.
Both stents expected to spontaneously pass.
