Non-partisan, volunteer driven group that’s been fighting for 7 years to get money out of politics, end corruption, and build democracy in Pennsylvania.
Yesterday, Philadelphia's City Council passed a resolution in support of ranked choice voting!
It calls on the state legislature to pass a law letting cities & counties use RCV in local elections.
Congrats to @EndPACorruption & other Pennsylvanians who made this happen!
Revolutions usually have ‘land’ as a key piece of their narrative. This spring dream about what your life and your community could look like if you actually owned land (for housing, food production, quality of life, joy, beauty). Democratizing political power = democratizing land
Bribery is legal, billionaires who bribe our politicians also own our communications networks (like this one), and the only way out is to build mass movements that are deeply connected and fight until we make bribery illegal and build democracy where power is with the people.
When people want to build high speed rail and real public transit, we’re told it’s just too bureaucratically impossible to build big things! For some reason 🤔🤔 that’s not the story with the AI data centers…
We get a lot of comments like, “there is a gift ban in PA! I’m a teacher and can’t take gifts!”
Yes, most public employees have a gift ban: teachers, police, fire fighters, etc.
BUT the big high level public officials have no gift ban, like our State Legislators.
New: Sports betting firms and skills game have spent $8.1 million and counting on Pennsylvania primaries, mostly for or against three GOP state senators. It's the latest in a war over both gambling laws and the ideology of the Senate Republican caucus.

And this isn’t a post about either of these candidates or this race. It’s about how anybody can just drop a ton of cash on an election and overwhelm voters with bull plop for their own nefarious ends and to advance their overall goals in Harrisburg.
Just nuts that because money in politics is legal, a gambling industry turf war has been playing out for a few years in PA, with lies and smears and bribes and threats.
Government by organized money is the same as government by organized crime.
Protecting Our Democracy, the skill game-linked PAC spending independently in the 16th Senate District primary to attack Senate Democrats favored candidate, has sent the below per a source:
The end result of our two party system is a bizarre Stockholm Syndrome where voters constantly defend their own abusive party against the other party.
(And yes, any party that lets 800 people a day die from poverty in the USA is abusive)
@GovernorShapiro You aren’t serious about raising the wage or anything until you get money out of politics. As long as low wage big bosses can bribe politicians, wages will never keep up with productivity or profits.
That billionaires own our collective public decision making process and will do whatever they want at the end of the day regardless of what people want, then they’ll give a lot of money to politicians to run ads that tell us we live in a democracy so we blame ourselves.
Instead of cheating voters in a gerrymandering race to the bottom, if a party wanted to win a supermajority in Congress, they could just do big things that a lot of people support, like healthcare and getting money out of politics.
At the PA capital before we were arrested. Here's a shout out📢👍 for @EndPACorruption & the 4 day march and a non-violent day of action at the Capital. Both parties benefit from the status quo. Let's tell them that this is WRONG! #peoplepower.

VA should learn from PA/tactics of @EndPACorruption. Leaders from both parties won't let good governance bills be passed because incumbents benefit from status quo. This requires non-violent civil disobedience!Proud to have been arrested! @ssurovell@SpeakerDonScott@DelCiaPrice85
