You can insert the “Edustunnadra Veedu" template for us. ❤️❤️❤️
This is exactly why we made this film... not just for the laughs, but for the memories it would become someday.
Thank you for the beautiful note Harsha and for making #ENE a part of your life 🫶🏻

June 29, 2018 - bunked my first job with a fake stomach ache to watch : “Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi”…
I was 21…Funny thing - I watched a bud-com alone for the first time…
I thought I was just bunking work to watch a movie…I didn’t know I was also unknowingly preserving a version of myself that I’d keep coming back to years later…
“Goa pothunnam…” | “Brilliant.” | “Taagudham” | “Masth shades unnai raa neelo.” | “Aat Kamal Hassan.”
These lines slipped into our lives without us even noticing…
That one conversation between Vivek and Karthik :
Vivek: “Arey asal life lo em kavalo neeku clarity undha? Neek aa job kavala? Pilla kavala? Pelli kavala? Asal neekaina telsa neeku em kavalo?”
Vivek wasn’t asking just Karthik alone…felt like he’s asking most of us…
Today i realise,
Some days we’re Vivek - trying to prove something, chasing something, hot-headed and angry…
Some days we’re Karthik - pretending adulthood makes sense, choosing stability over dreams, and wondering if that’s really what we wanted…
Some days we’re Uppi - just showing up, quietly standing by the people we love…
Some days we’re Kaushik - finding reasons to laugh even when nothing makes sense…
What hits now isn’t Goa trip with the gang or the comedy…It’s those small moments…
That one sitting with the gang, which was supposed to end in an hour somehow lasted till sunrise…
Pointless arguments at tea stalls…The silence we sit with after the gang leaves…
Back then, I was skipping office to watch films…Today, films became my profession…
Somewhere between that fake stomach ache and making a career out of cinema… I am growing up…
But every time I revisit this film…I’m 21 again…
Today, at 29, I know that we’re all just one phone call away…
We constantly check on each other…React to stories…Say, “Mama kaludham ra ee weekend sitting…” And that’s it…
We used to meet first, think later…Now we think first, yet we don’t meet…
At 21, I watched this film because I had time…At 29, I watch it because I miss that version of life where everyone else also had time…
Today, when I hear “Goa pothunnam…” | “Brilliant.” | “Masth shades unnai raa neelo.” | “Aat Kamal Hassan,” I don’t think of the film anymore…
I think of my friends…The conversations we had…The people we once saw every day but now only see through notifications…
It feels like catching up with old friends.
May be they should have titled the sequel as - “Mana gang ki emaindhi?”
#ENE us a way to remember our friends… 8 years of the Bud-Com 🫶🏽
