The President of Somalia is just a hypocrite. Last year, he initially praised the Garacad port's inauguration as a notable community-funded project in East Africa. He has now seemingly reversed his perspective following his discord with Saciid Deni. Intriguingly, the current government audit general, previously linked to propagandist journalism, is now asserting that Garacad Port's funding stems from funds allegedly embezzled from the Federal Government of Somalia.

The National Communication Authority in Somalia reached out to X, seeking details about me due to the specific content I shared. This incident highlights the significance of freedom of speech laws in Somalia that needs to safeguard the right to express opinions without undue state intervention.

The situation underscores the delicate nature of the Somali government's response to online opinions. It's a testament to the restrictions on freedom of speech experienced by people in Somalia. Ever since Hassan Sheikh took office as President, there has been a pattern of government agencies targeting those who express dissenting opinions

Freedom of speech is protected under both UK laws and international legal frameworks. In the UK, this right is safeguarded by various statutes, such as the Human Rights Act 1998, which incorporates the European Convention on Human Rights into domestic law. This ensures that individuals can express their opinions and ideas without unnecessary interference from the government.

On an international level, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations, also recognizes freedom of expression as a fundamental human right. This principle is further elaborated upon in treaties like the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights
