Still half-asleep, bleary eyes open to see a mass of orange. His vision hasn’t cleared but he’s all too aware of Panette’s presence.

“Is it late?”
He’s not getting up. His bed is too comfortable.

It’s already mid afternoon and he still hasn’t woken up. Even during more peaceful times he’s slow to rise.

Thus, it’s @solmicberserker’s turn to wake him. She’ll find him lying under his covers peacefully. Pristine as he’s ever been.

Naturally, he flushes at the feeling of her soft, snow-white skin. Yet, he maintains his grasp. He won’t falter.

Ivy gasped… but she could not complain. At least now he’s awake.

He squeezes firm upon her thigh. Perhaps he shouldn’t but he’s making use of his draconic strength to hold onto her.

Was he listening?? She sighed and began to rise.

He blinks, a sudden wave of nerves washes over him. Had he spoken out of sorts.

“S-So I did speak out of turn?”

Ivy shook her head. Violet strands of hair whipped around, tickling his nose.

He’s still half-asleep. His normal filter of anxiety and worry are lacking. So, Ivy gets his unfiltered thoughts.

His hand rests on her thigh…

A lengthy yawn, he rubs his eye shortly after.

“I did.”
He’s concerned. Ivy always frets so much over the little things.

“Have I said something inappropriate to you?”

Ivy had just begun to stand up to leave. Then he sat up! She sat back down on the bed. This time her leg touched his.

“Divine One. Are you… did you hear me before? When I woke you up?”

It takes considerable effort for him to fight his hibernating dragon habits, but the concern lacing Ivy’s voice spurs him on.

“Ivy?”
He manages to, weakly, prop himself up on one elbow.

“What’s wrong?”

“Sleep on, if you must. I had just hoped to spend more time with you.”

She’s talking more to herself than to him at this point.

“I wish I could be happy with how we left things. I wish this wasn’t so— complicated.”

He brushes, feebly, towards her. He knocks his sheets off his body while also brushing his hand along her leg.

“No meetings…”
He murmurs. He’s too comfortable.

How did he not notice her? Ivy tapped his leg again.

“Divine One. Please do not fall back asleep. I—“

Ivy looked to the door. She wasn’t sure how much time she had. If he was expected.

His eyes flutter briefly. His waking is always slow. Some days it takes upwards of an hour to get him out of bed.

Regardless of how disheveled he looks, Ivy smiles. She looks relieved. She breathes a sigh of relief.
