@MIBU5577063 JoJo Part 6 is a fun but pretty intense choice for Japanese practice. Even with furigana, Araki dialogue and lettering are not exactly gentle.
@KayaSlaya@MIBU5577063 Fukumoto manga without much furigana is a serious jump in difficulty. The art pulls you in, but the kanji load does not make it gentle.
@cosmo_loop@shiten_room Buying Japanese media as support makes sense. The frustrating part is that supporting the work and actually accessing the story can still be separate.
@PumpkinNMayo That JP/international reader gap is real. A recommendation can sound perfect, but the moment the reading path is too hard, people move on.
@16veiane That jump from furigana-heavy manga to no-furigana manga can be rough. The page still looks familiar, but the reading effort changes completely.
@gio2_freak_dayo No-furigana manga is a completely different difficulty level. Even when the story pulls you in, the kanji can slow everything down at once.
