Neymar doesn’t belong in that conversation. He was supremely talented but didn’t do enough with his career. Brazilian Ronaldo possibly had a higher peak than anyone of the others. Cristiano although not better than Messi was a different type of player throughout his career and proved it more than any other arguably in England, Italy and Spain. Zidane for me was the best just from a personal standpoint. Everything seemed so effortless and he had everything. Ronaldinho was the most spectacular player I ever saw.

Luke Shaw hasn’t been good enough for a couple of years. Valencia went through the same were suddenly he didn’t take anyone on and just passed sideways. Wingbacks need to be flying. Midfield looked slow too. A striker is an absolute necessity because Sesko cannot do it on his own.

@MiguelDelaney I have no problem with people saying either are the best of all time. Ronaldo has played at a higher level for longer and has tested himself more. He’s also 41 and has played in far more physically demanding leagues throughout his career. It’s taken a toll.
