We are an excited group of faculty, graduate, and undergraduate researchers creating fun and engaging learning experiences for K-12 and undergraduate students.
Patriel Stapleton is a HCC PhD student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow in our lab. She recently passed her qualifying exam. She is the project lead for the SimCoast research project, a game-based learning system teaching environmental science. #UFGSAW
Ashish Aggarwal is a CS PhD student and a lecturer in @UF_EngED. He teaches Intro to CS to CS and engineering students. His work focuses on studying the scaffolds and policies that promote mastery learning for novice programmers. @ashishjuit#UFGSAW
David Magda is a HCC PhD student. He recently passed his qualifying exam on discrete mathematics in UGRAD CS ED. He also presented a paper at SIGCSE 2025 around students’ thoughts on discrete math. #UFGSAW
Amanpreet Kapoor is a HCC PhD student and a lecturer in @UF_EngED teaching DSA. He recently successfully defended his doctoral dissertation. He also presented a paper at SIGCSE 25 focused on NeuRL, a no-code app for RL & neural networks. @kapo_or#UFGSAW
This week is UF’S 10th year celebrating Graduate Student Appreciation Week! We are excited to recognize and thank our amazing graduate students in the lab! Stay tuned this week as we highlight each graduate student and their contributions. @UFCISE#UFGSAW#GSAW
