Infrastructure is at the heart of our development agenda in Lagos.
Through deliberate investments and sustained work across the state, we are improving our roads, transportation infrastructure and critical infrastructure that supports commerce and keeps Lagos moving.
These efforts reflect our commitment to building infrastructure that serves the needs of a growing Lagos and creates an environment where people and businesses can thrive.
There is still more work to do and we remain focused on delivering A Greater Lagos for All.
May the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) inspire us to live with compassion, integrity and dedication in building a better society.

Today, I handed over land allocation letters to residents across 98 villages in Ito-Omu and surrounding communities.
For many families, land represents identity and a foundation for the future. I am pleased that we have taken an important step towards giving these communities greater certainty and peace of mind.
Our administration will continue to protect the rights of our people and support orderly growth across Lagos. There is still more work to do, but today marks meaningful progress for these communities.
Thank you for your patience and partnership as we continue to build a better Lagos together.
Today, I visited communities affected by the persistent rainfall across Lagos to see the situation firsthand and hear directly from residents whose homes, businesses and daily lives have been disrupted.
The heavy rains have placed significant pressure on our drainage infrastructure. As a coastal state, high tide and rising lagoon levels often prevent floodwater from draining quickly. But I also saw major drainage channels blocked by plastic waste, household refuse and banned Styrofoam. This is unacceptable. Anyone caught dumping refuse indiscriminately will be prosecuted according to the law.
I have directed the relevant agencies to intensify drainage clearing operations and provide support to affected communities. We will continue to monitor vulnerable areas and respond swiftly.
Government cannot do this alone. I urge every Lagosian to keep our drainage channels free of waste and follow safety advisories during this period of heavy rainfall. Protecting Lagos is a shared responsibility.
Please stay safe, avoid flooded roads where possible, and know that we are working around the clock to reduce flooding across the state.
Earlier today, I was out in Surulere to personally inspect our monthly environmental sanitation cleanup.
Seeing residents working side by side with the Ministry of Environment teams to clear the drains and sweep the streets was very encouraging. We must always remember that keeping Lagos clean is a shared responsibility that directly protects our health and prevents flooding.
I know many of you are frustrated with current waste disposal issues, and I want to assure you that we are tackling this head-on. To fix this permanently, we are bringing in 150 new compactor trucks, deploying locally assembled tricycles for inner streets, and building facilities that will process thousands of tonnes of waste daily.
We are also actively supporting our PSP operators to overcome their current operational challenges.
Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to join us today. We are putting the right infrastructure in place, but we need your daily dedication to keep our neighborhoods safe and clean.
Our collective effort is what truly keeps Lagos moving forward.
