“…the value of a Nigerian life should never depend on geography.”
“….questions for the northern establishment, political leaders, elites, influencers, all of us….where is the voice of the north? Where is our outrage? Where is our collective anger? Where is our conscience? Where is the Vice President? Where are our governors? Where are our chiefs and emirs? Where are these senators and representatives?”
“Why do we mobilise so quickly for politics but yet so slowly for human lives?”
“Why do we issue stronger statements about power than about our murdered and abducted citizens?”
“Have we become so accustomed to insecurity that we no longer see the victims?”
“When people stop speaking up, leaders stop listening.”
“No Nigerian life is worth more than the other.”
“The terrorists are the ones attacking our communities, but our collective indifference is what is clearly destroying our humanity.”

DOGARA SPEAKS:
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has said former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar “solidly” supported Bukola Saraki in emerging senate president.
He made the revelation in his biographic book, ‘A Reed Made Flint’
He further revealed that Atiku was the reason he also emerged speaker of the house despite the fact that national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu had put forth Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila as his candidate.
If I don’t say this to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s credit I will not be fair to him. It will amount to travesty. At the time when most leaders in the APC were not showing sympathy to our cause, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar came out as one solid voice in support of both the candidature of the now Senate President (Bukola Saraki) and my humble self.
“He said the North-East must have a position and it was his duty as a leader from the North-East to support that goal. And more so, because of the religious demography of Nigeria there was the need to have a Northern minority Christian in government as that would help to smoothen religious engagement and relationship in the North and put paid to the insinuation that APC was just a Muslim party."
So how can such a man be linking to bigotry.. And for anyone who has ever been to you, you'll know that the Fulas of Jimeta are some of the most socially active people to hang with as their history is more linked to the Cameroon/Adamawa caliphate than the Sokoto caliphate hence why sometimes even other Fulas see them as "Kabila"
History should be made compulsory every 5-10 years for every Nigerian to keep track of their history.

A 24-year-old Polish tennis player arrived in Paris last week ranked 114th in the world, with no sponsors, no guaranteed income, and no certainty she could even pay for her hotel room.
She had to win three qualifying matches just to enter the French Open main draw. Prize money is only paid at the end of the tournament, so a Polish sports drink brand quietly stepped in and covered her hotel bill.
Her name is Maja Chwalinska. And today, she plays in the French Open final.
Before this tournament, she had won exactly one Grand Slam main draw match in her entire career. She had battled depression so severe that in 2021 she couldn't get out of bed. She underwent knee surgery in 2022. She spent years grinding through small tournaments across Europe just to stay afloat.
Then she arrived in Paris, won three qualifiers, and kept winning. Zheng Qinwen. Elise Mertens. Maria Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nine straight matches. One set dropped.
She is now the first qualifier in French Open history to reach the final. The last time a qualifier reached a Grand Slam final, it was Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. Raducanu won.
By simply making the final, Chwalinska has earned more prize money than her entire career combined. The runner-up cheque alone is $1.6 million. If she wins today, she takes home $3.25 million.
One week ago she couldn't pay for her hotel room.
For kicking out 2 overrated, overpromoted, overpaid Academy graduates who thought they were doing the club a favour, it is impossible for me to harshly criticise Ruben. United needed to kick out Rashford particularly and Ruben did it quickly. He has my best wishes.
We cannot consider Sabalenka the best player of her era if she needs perfect conditions to win Grand Slams. A little wind at Roland Garros should not have her this out of sorts. The window to pull herself together is closing quickly.
Teachers in northeastern Nigeria march in Maiduguri demanding the release of 42 abducted schoolchildren in Borno State and stronger school protection.
Al Jazeera’s Felix Nyawara reports.
Scammed wins against a 39 year old out of prime Djokovic and a mental midget Ruud and people thought he was the one. Bro met his mate and lost 3-0 on his favourite surface while being cheered on by 99% of the crowd, crazy 😭😭
The more I watch Zverev played against these other guys on tour, the more I'm convinced that his major problem against Sinner is his mindset going into the match
Jannik Sinner is OUT ❌
Carlos Alcaraz is OUT (injury) 🤕
Novak Djokovic is OUT ❌
Alexander Zverev will never have a better chance at winning a Grand Slam title ever again than at this year's Roland Garros.
