Nigeria has now been delisted from the International Maths Olympiad, whose finals are happening in Shanghai, China, this July.
It is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the world.
Nigeria can now only participate as an observer nation, while other countries can participate fully.
This was because of the Ministry of Education’s inability to fund students for 4 consecutive years through National Mathematical Center.
It’s a big shame for Nigeria.
BREAKING: Security analyst Dr. Bashir Kurfi has alleged that the Katsina State Government is engaged in talks with some bandit leaders and claims that certain notorious commanders were allegedly given ₦10 million each to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage, alongside other accusations. He make the accusations during his interview with Trust TV.
As at this time, Katsina State Government has not issued any official response to these claims.
If true, what safeguards are in place to ensure public funds are not being used to incentivize criminal actors, and what evidence supports or refutes these allegations?
VIDEO: A young boy from Magami town in Gusau LGA, Zamfara State, says he wants to join the Nigerian Army when he grows up to avenge the killing of his father, a farmer who was murdered by bandits before his eyes.
A painful glimpse into the lasting impact of violence on children in conflict-affected communities.
This was you asking GEJ to resign over insecurity. We have it worse today than in 2014 but bayo onanuga is all over the place crying like a homeless waif.
Is this still a civilized country, boss?
1. Turji is currently a government of his own in this country.
—He has established camps in Sokoto where weapons training and tactical drills are conducted.
—He and his loyalists act as the judiciary; disputes are taken to them for resolution.
—He imposes taxes on villages, punishes those who refuse to pay, and kidnaps people for ransom.
2. The Katsina State Government appealed to bandits to repent so they could be compensated with houses and grants.
3. A former kidnapping victim said that bandits told him they receive payments from the Kaduna State Government. Elrufai also said the same.
See, the Nigerian government pays bandits and repentant bandits. To think this insecurity will end anytime soon is to lie to ourselves.
Two months later, after these eggs finished in the house, Hajia's review:
"The eggs you sent home have finally finished. Best eggs we have ever had in the house. They never spoiled, even when we traveled home for ileya. Maybe they didn't apply chemicals? Totally different from the ones we buy in supermarkets. Please order from same source"

This report carried by @daily_trust should worry all of us.
That communities have been thrown into panic as Turji reportedly opens training camps across three LGAs in Sokoto State, with the largest said to be located in Sabon Birni.
The day I saw his picture with that sophisticated camera mounted on his forehead, I knew this deranged idiot had begun consolidation.
It is becoming increasingly clear that Turji now believes he cannot be defeated by the Nigerian government.
Maybe we should consider arming communities, subject to rigorous background checks & oversight, so they can defend themselves. Even then, I remain opposed to it.
My neighbor was kidnapped on his way to Abuja. He was shot in both legs and left to suffer without treatment for four days. His family desperately raised the ransom, hoping to save his life, but by the time he was released and taken to the hospital, it was too late. He died shortly after receiving treatment.
How long are Nigerians supposed to keep living like this? We are being kidnapped, tortured. Every single day Innocent people are dying, families are being destroyed.
How many more graves must be dug before those in authority wake up and do their damn jobs?
The kind of bootlicking, nonsense, and stupidity you guys do for these politicians even monkeys in the jungle don’t do it. What exactly is leading by example” about riding a motorcycle fgs?
MOB JUSTICE CLAIMS THE LIFE OF ISLAMIC TEACHER IN JOS
Malama Ummulkhairi, a respected Islamic teacher and mother of more than five children, left her home in Maraban Jos to attend a religious lecture by respected Islamic scholars, including Malam Umar Wali. The event was scheduled to take place at Madrasatul Tashiyhul Iman, a school associated with Malama Mardiyya. After becoming separated from her companions and asking for directions to the venue, Ummulkhairi approached some children and asked for directions. Moments later, a group of women allegedly accused her of attempting to kidnap children.
She was taken to a police station, where family representatives and community leaders testified that she was a well-known teacher and that there was no evidence against her. Despite this, an angry mob gathered outside. Appeals for calm and due process were ignored.
In broad daylight, near the police station, she was brutally killed and burned alive. A motorcycle belonging to one of the scholars pleading for her safety was also set ablaze.
Today, her children are without their mother. Her husband left home with a healthy wife and returned only to witness the aftermath of unimaginable violence.
This tragedy raises painful questions: How many innocent people must die before we reject mob justice? When accusations become death sentences and evidence no longer matters, nobody is safe.
Jungle justice does not fight crime, it only destroys innocent lives, weakens the rule of law and fuels insecurity. If we continue down this path, we will not defeat crime; we will only create a society ruled by fear, suspicion, and violence.
May Almighty Allah forgive Malama Ummulkhairi, accept her among the righteous and grant her family the strength to bear this devastating loss.
I came up with the idea of supporting small Muslim business owners with interest-free loans last year. Almost everyone here advised against it, saying people wouldn’t repay the loans.
But myself and @Femi_OfMainland, along with some of our elders here and on my WhatsApp, decided to give it a try anyway. We donated and launched a small pilot to test the initiative.
Alhamdulillah, the results have been truly heartwarming. Seeing how the beneficiaries put the funds to good use has been inspiring and yes, some have already repaid their loans.
We’ve achieved more than we expected, and by the grace of Allah, we’re ready to open applications for the next batch very soon.
P.S. We’re still warmly accepting donations from our Muslim brothers and sisters. May Allah accept it from us all and reward you abundantly. Ameen.
I will say this clearly for y'all to understand.
If you want good governance in this country, then we must first go back home and educate those who lack proper education on how good governance works.
Why? Because this government is weaponising poverty by making the country hard, and, in turn, comes to treat these folks like a dog for votes to return to the office for continuity
The most scary part about these kidnappings is the fact that there is no proper account of the number of innocent citizens that are still in captivity, not talking about those that have been killed by bandits or kidnappers.
Permit me to annoy you.
Are you aware that 99% of young people living in Nigeria are working much harder than they did eight years ago just to buy food and pay their landlords? Even you reading this is among the victims!
