Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates.
Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.
So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth."

"That is almost word for word what they told us when we were sold the war in Iraq," responded the former Transportation Secretary. "Remember in 2003 they said if we don't go in, invade Iraq, take down Saddam Hussein, if we're not fighting him there, we're going to wind up fighting him here. And that war in Iraq made America weaker. This war on Iran is making America weaker."

"Look, six months ago, you didn't have to get up in the morning and worry about the Strait of Hormuz," Buttigieg continued. "Now, people coast to coast in this country are paying more for gas, more for diesel. Mortgage rates are going up."

"And of course, our tax dollars are going into a war where it's pretty clear even the best case scenario is going to have us worse off than where we were," he added. "Because a year ago, the strait of Hormuz was open! Now we're fighting to try to figure out somehow how to get it open again."

As usual, Buttigieg is not only exactly right, but incredibly adept at articulating his points. The Trump administration can rant all it wants about how this war is about preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. We know that our own intelligence agencies concluded that Tehran was doing no such thing.

This war is about strengthening Israel's position in the Middle East by weakening their regional adversary. No American interests are at stake but Americans are paying the price and innocent Iranian women and children are being slaughtered. Trump has betrayed us all in service to a foreign country.

This war needs to end now, followed by blanket prosecutions for war crimes.

Millions of seniors and disabled Americans are about to feel the pain of a decision made in a corporate boardroom, dressed up by the Trump regime as fiscal responsibility.

The Trump administration announced that it's ending a Biden-era Medicare Part D subsidy program that helped cap out-of-pocket prescription drug costs at $2,000 annually and allowed Medicare to negotiate lower prices on high-cost drugs. The subsidy expires at the end of this year, with no replacement offered for 2027. About 25 million Americans currently rely on standalone Part D plans to afford their medications.

CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz tried to spin this as good news, claiming premiums will rise by "less than $10 for most Medicare recipients," insisting "we are stabilizing the market so this bailout is no longer needed."

Let's be clear about who actually benefited from this soon-to-be-canceled program: not insurance companies padding their profits, but seniors and disabled Americans trying to afford insulin, heart medication, and cancer treatments without going broke.

The Biden-era reform was specifically designed to protect patients from catastrophic drug costs and give Medicare real negotiating power against Big Pharma. Ending it doesn't stabilize anything — it just shifts costs back onto the people who can least afford them.

And here's the kicker: CMS won't even release actual cost details until mid-to-late September, meaning millions of seniors are being told their financial safety net is disappearing without knowing what they'll actually owe when it does.

This is the same administration that's spent the year gutting food safety oversight, defunding vaccine research, and slashing public health infrastructure — all while insisting they're "protecting" Americans. Now they're coming for the prescription drug protections that keep seniors from needing to choose between medication and groceries.

Dr. Oz can call it "stabilizing the market" all he wants. For millions of Americans on fixed incomes, it's one more essential protection quietly stripped away, timed conveniently for after this year's headlines fade and before next year's bills arrive.

The genitals and the brain develop at different times in the womb.
The genitals form between weeks six and twelve of pregnancy. The brain develops its sex characteristics separately, in the second half of pregnancy, under a different hormonal environment.
Two separate processes. Two different timelines. When they produce different outcomes in the same person, you get a transgender person.
This is not opinion. It is published embryology. It has been in peer reviewed scientific journals since 1995, including Nature, one of the most respected scientific journals on earth.
Over 100 genetic associations with transgender identity have been documented. Brain structure differences are present before any medical treatment begins, which means they are developmental, not caused by transition. Twin studies confirm a genetic contribution. Girls exposed to higher androgens in the womb show significantly higher rates of gender nonconformity. Every major medical institution on earth, the WHO, the American Medical Association, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, recognises this as naturally occurring biological variation.
Over 40 intersex variations exist. People born with XY chromosomes and fully female anatomy. People born with both genitalia. People whose chromosomes are neither XX nor XY. The binary is not a biological fact. It is a simplification that nature routinely ignores.
The Hijra community of South Asia has been documented for over four thousand years. Two-Spirit people held recognised roles across hundreds of Indigenous nations. Gender diversity is recorded in ancient Sumer, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome and every continent on earth.
Transgender people are not new.
The science explaining why they exist is not new either.
It just does not get reported the same way as the arguments about bathrooms.
