World On A Wire (1973). Rainer Werner Fassbinder's mind-bending story of simulation, AI and virtual reality. This ran as a 2 part TV drama for West German TV.
Based on Daniel F. Galouye's 1964 novel Simulacron-3, it's about a supercomputer that manages a simulated world of 9000 'people' who do not know they are artificial. But deaths and disappearances in the real and virtual word force company scientist Fred Stiller to enter the programme, only to find out there may be more layers to the simulation than anyone suspected.
It's a great teleplay and the set design, atmosphere and pacing is suitably eerie and beautiful. It's available on DVD and some streaming services if you want to see a pre-Matrix epic tale of hyperreality and hedonism.
Chat Pile and Hayden Pedigo’s In The Earth Again is out today.
A haunting portrait of collapse and rural stillness. There’s nothing else like it.

+ 'BBC2 IDENT CLOCK' +
In between working on orders this morning I made a BBC2 clock for a friend's Xmas present. Popped a handful in the shop, available to pre-order for shipping in Jan. The shop will close on Monday PM for the year, so be quick. 🎄 🎁 🔥 https://t.co/WM5NKBwEwR
An interesting book. It’s to accompany an exhibition currently on in Paris which features original pages of comic art, which appear in this book alongside a few essays etc.
The downside is that it feels like what artwork is available to them, not necessarily artists’ best work

The Dead Kennedys singles collection from 1979 to 1982.
Hardly any band has produced more socially relevant songs than the Dead Kennedys
What is your top single from the band?
For me it’s definitely “Nazi Punks Fuck Off”
