Hey @MayorBowser, who is the genius responsible for planning major works on 19th between L and H streets NW right in the middle of the IMF annual meetings?
I’m adopted. When I met my birthmom I asked if she’d considered abortion. She said yes. And I was glad, because it meant she had a choice. My birth wasn’t her death. I’m here because she wanted me to be here. That means the world to me. Women should have the choice.
Republican Senators on Twitter today admitting that their strategy was to pack the courts with political conservatives in order to enact an agenda that was too unpopular to pass through an elected, popularly accountable Congress.
@alldayf1@British_Airways@HeathrowAirport It might not be policy but it is human decency. They are elderly and will be on the road for over 30 hours for no fault of their own. Had BA notified us beforehand that the flight was cancelled I would have arranged for them to depart even a week later, just to avoid this.
PSA to all travelers: unless you want to be stranded with no one taking responsibility and no customer service, avoid @British_Airways at all costs. Booked my parents a return flight via @HeathrowAirport and both ways a leg of their flight got cancelled without any notification
@alldayf1@British_Airways@HeathrowAirport No delays, my parents connecting flight from LHR was cancelled and we were only told at DC airport. The’re over 75 and traveling from the US. The only option for them was to get rerouted and their travel will now last over 30 hours. BA refused to upgrade them because “not policy”
@alldayf1@British_Airways@HeathrowAirport I don’t care whose fault it is. BA is the company that sold me the ticket and has a duty to inform me when flights are cancelled, to repay or upgrade or at the very least to answer the friggin phone when I call the customersupport line.
@bridger_duane@British_Airways Horrible experience. At least you were able to go home. My elderly parents, travelling from the US and whose connecting flight was cancelled WITHOUT any notification, got rebooked and will be travlling for over 24 hours. They can’t even get out of Heathrow because no Visas. Shame
Ayn Rand: “An embryo has no rights. Rights do not pertain to a potential, only to an actual being. A child cannot acquire any rights until it is born. The living take precedence over the not-yet-living (or the unborn).”
Recently watched a screener finale so damn good that I kept compulsively pausing the episode to see how much time was left and screaming, "WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!"
It was deeply stressful but also UGH I love that feeling so freaking much 🥲
#Severance is absolutely the best show on TV right now and one of the best shows I have ever seen. @BenStiller are you really going to make us wait 1 year for season 2. This is torture.
The #Severance finale was one of the tensest, most exciting hours of TV I've seen in years. So I spoke with @benstiller about how they made it that way, and about this whole great season: https://t.co/JLlMRziaaa
Here’s some interesting data about the infamous altercation between #WillSmith & #ChrisRock: 52% of respondents said Smith was justified in slapping Rock on #LiveTV, but 57% think his actions were violent & went too far, while 62% believe violence is never justified on Live TV.
Did you watch the #Oscars ceremony on Sunday? Our data shows that 43% of Americans tuned in for the 94th #AcademyAwards ceremony, with viewers skewing more male (49% of male respondents watched vs 37% of females), urban and middle aged.
Even though more than half of all Americans who tuned in watched the #SuperBowl did so on Network TV, a record breaking 41% of respondents declared watching this year’s game through a digital #streaming service.
