I sincerely hope the police officer recovers from his injuries. He was merely doing his job responding to a burglary & didn’t deserve to be shot. Whereas Tom Phillips brought his own demise on himself. I do feel sorry for his children though & hope they are found safe & well.

@Onlymitchtwat My understanding is he was a lone officer responding to a report that a member of the public had witnessed a burglary unfolding. Then he was shot point blank by Tom Phillips. Definitely not his fault. He was very brave.

@sunshinehaze1 Exactly, I feel the same. Any other ram raid and the police would respond in this exact same way. They would attend the scene of the crime, and find/confront the culprit.

There are always exceptions to the rule, and in the case of teenager Daman Kumar, who was born in New Zealand, my feeling is that he should be allowed to stay in NZ…given that his parents were entirely responsible for him when they chose to become overstayers.

@ednewtonrex Arguably, artistic creativity is a sacred domain of humans which is being pillaged & plundered, a sacred jewel that should be cherished at all costs. AI has its place, but Governments need to put restraints in place to protect artists, musicians, writers etc.
