Played @EnniscroneGolf last Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed it despite getting pelted with sleet for about 5 minutes in the middle of the first fairway! Great mix of holes both in and out of the dunes! Very hospitable staff...especially Dave, the starter. He is a character!!
At the end of our trip with @ukgolfguy a poll was taken among the 10 of us as to which course we played was our favorite, and Enniscrone got the most votes! Would love to return one day!
What a day at @EnniscroneGolf yesterday. It’s a really enjoyable course. A great setting, wonderful holes (both in and out of the dunes) and it was in excellent condition. A real treat!
Just getting ready for an epic UK Golf Guy trip to Ireland. Quite the line up of courses starting on Sunday -

One of the most photographed locations on the Dunes Championship Links ⛳️🌊
A view that never looks the same twice — dramatic skies, rolling dunes, and the perfect green framed by nature at its finest.

Golden hour hits differently on the Links at Enniscrone
A passing shower, a double rainbow, and the last light of the evening across the dunes — moments like these remind us why links golf is so special on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic coastline.⛳✨

Some days at Enniscrone feel a little extra special 🌈
A full rainbow stretching across the Links this evening — a reminder that you never quite know what awaits you on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic coast.
Golf, dunes, ocean air, and views like this.

First time at Enniscrone GC….
1. A proper golf course. Well conditioned, well laid out through some enormous dunes.
2. Routing (into the dunes then in the low lands and back along the dunes and coast) reminded me of Barnbougle and Wallasey.
3. The stretch from 11-16 is amazing. Back into the largest dunes and to the coast. Back and forth, up and down.
4. Greens were excellent. Noticeably pure and almost glassy/shiny in places already and it’s just May.
5. When the locals tell you they moved up their competition for wind, you know you’re in for it. Hit a 2-iron from 160 on one hole and a PW from 180 on another.
6. Feels like you can choose your own adventure on nearly every hole. Either taking on carries and blind shots or laying back and taking on longer approaches.
7. These courses are so integrated with the towns they are in. Social hubs, meeting places and you see every age and gender of players out on the course. Endearing quality.
