Hysteroscopy is a precious procedure which can be done as an office procedure or in the theatre... under anaesthesia.

But this video is a complete shock as to what Hysteroscopy is all about... Naa...

No one places the patient like that... no one removes fibroids and Polyps like that.

The audio is spot on... the video should never be used to explain hysteroscopy.

It's important to educate people with correct illustrations...

In hysteroscopy
● Patient is placed with legs on a stirrup
● The cervix is identified and held in place with an instrument
● The hysteroscope is introduced and the cavity is explored.

Polyps can be removed manually or with the use of cautery.... only fibroids inside the womb can be removed.

Hysteroscopy is also used to take biopsy from the lining of the womb

Patient can go home same day...
