I'm not doubting you, there are certain Catholic churches that are not part of the Catholic Church, I've seen them on the news with pride flags, these are not Catholic.

I recall a Southern Baptist Church that was protesting American soldiers funerals and was causing all kinds of havoc, were they Christian? Did they represent all Baptists? No.

Unfortunately, you will have rogue parties that use names that aren't appropriate.

But I can guarantee you that we do not worship angels or Mary. Have you ever asked a friend to pray for you? That is all we are doing is asking for intercession.

Raymond, please don't dwell on old law if you are a Christian that law does not apply to you, it only applies to the Jewish people. The New testament clearly states that we are no longer under the old Mosaic law. If you need Bible verses I will provide them. You cannot/shouldn't mix old law and new law and be with Christ. Jesus fulfilled the Old law and brought in the law of Grace under God.
Jesus said you cannot put new wine in wine old wine skins. It will turn to vinegar. You only put new wine in the new wine skin. Meaning you cannot apply the Old testament laws to the New testament laws. They will turn sour..
Again, I can supply you with Bible verses if you need.

I counter that. Yes they WERE Jewish, but the moment they believed that Jesus was the Christ, they were Christians no longer Jewish. Jewish people are under a different law than we Christians are... We live under the law of grace, Jewish people live under the law of Moses. Jesus fulfilled the old law and provided us with the law of Freedom through Grace from God.

Jewish people rejected God, therefore, they were given one generation to come to believe in the message that the Old testament is no longer the Law. The Jewish people have abandoned the 613 laws given in the Old testament. Do they still do sacrifices today? No. Where are the Pharisees today?? Where is the Sanhedrin?

Read Romans 11:28. ²⁸ in respect to the gospel, they [Jewish people] are enemies on your account; in respect to election, they are beloved because of the patriarchs.

I don't hate the Jewish people, but they rejected the cornerstone [Jesus]. Was this their fault? I'm not sure, Romans 11:7 suggest that " God gave them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes that should not see and ears that should not hear, down to this very day."
I believe the Jewish people's eyes and ears will be opened, and there will be great weeping. And they will be saved.

I was protestant up until around 15 years old... My wife of 37 years was Church of Christ her whole life, up until 5 years ago, when she joined the Church. She had been going with me.
Her family didn't disown her, she's still a Christian.

My father was protestant, converted to Catholicism... my mother died and a few years later my dad met a lady who was Baptist... He now goes to her church... He's still a Christian and good man. I don't mind, he's still my father and still a Christian.

I guess I don't understand how difficult it is Jesus is Jesus. A follower of Christ (Christian) should love everyone. If someone condems you, they are not following what Jesus taught. Let the dead bury the dead and follow Christ.

Ignorance (lack of subject knowledge) causes confusion.

Churches with rock bands aren't my thing, I prefer traditional worship in the manor it was done with early Christians (~100AD).

I will pray for you, there is no wrong answer if you follow Jesus' teachings. The holy Spirit is a miracle worker, confidently ask Him for guidance.
