In Zambia, a bill that criminalized those who criticize the President has been removed. In Zimbabwe this month, a bill was signed to criminalize anyone seen as unpatriotic & criticizes the government/country. While others move forward, others are going backwards. It’s sad !!!

Yesterday the President removed the Defamation of the President act from our Zambian constitution as per our UPND promise. It was disgrace to our democracy that for years our people got jailed for speaking bad or insulting a President. It didn’t represent who we are as a nation !
