My father immediately shouted, “Come for cola in the morning!” 😭

He then told me that someone would come to our house that morning to ask for cola, and that I would see the witch myself.

When we got to the farm, my father searched and searched until he finally found some cola nuts. He said he couldn’t afford not to have any available in case the person came to the house to ask for some, because it wouldn’t end well.

We returned from the farm around 10 a.m., and guess what? a woman actually showed up and asked if we had cola nuts in the house and whether we could give her some.

My father looked at me and smiled. 😂

This is how much MTN pays some vendors as commission for an entire month, and you expect them not to charge you for sending or depositing money? 😂

You want them to rent a shop, pay electricity bills, tie down their capital, take the risk of handling your money, and sit there serving you all month, only to earn ₵98 in commission? And when they charge you for service, suddenly they’re the problem? 😂

MTN has rules i know.. but let’s be fair. If you want the convenience of having a vendor nearby whenever you need to transact, then understand that the person behind the counter also has bills to pay.

Convenience has a cost, and vendors deserve to make a living too!

People need to understand that these charges are part of how the vendors survive and keep their businesses running...

Go to the bank or MTN office to doo free deposit about 2000 if you cannot pay the nearby vendors to do it..

Ghanaians would rather deposit GH₵505 into their account and send it to someone else, allowing MTN to charge them GH₵5, instead of paying a MoMo vendor GH₵5 for their service. 🤦🏾‍♂️

They would rather pay the charges to MTN than give that same money to the vendor who is providing the service. And MTN doesn't even belong to a Ghanaian!😭

These are our own MoMo shop operators trying to make a living, yet we sometimes go out of our way to avoid paying them a small service fee while having no problem paying the same amount to a big corporation.

Sometimes, we make it difficult for our own people to survive while making it easy for big companies to profit from us. 🤦🏾‍♂️
