I just wonder; WHAT IF…? Thomas Joseph Mboya aka ‘Sungura Mjanja’ was only 39 years old when assassin Nahashon Njenga ended his life on July 5, 1969 along Moi Avenue (then Government Road). Mboya’s mind and skills could not be matched and there was absolutely no political method of stopping his eventual rise to power. A thinker and schemer, a mobilizer and orator - he had it all.
