At @FurmanU in Greenville, South Carolina, a 988 kW campus solar array built on legacy string inverter architecture was no longer performing at its full potential.
Working with Detail Solar LLC and utility @DukeEnergy, the university is repowering the system with Enphase IQ9N-3P Commercial Microinverters. Designed for 480 VAC infrastructure, the microinverters offer a clear path for extending the system's long-term value.
In Phase 1, a 30.15 kW retrofit will restore production, reduce future downtime risk, and modernize performance at the module level.
