@Italian347 It's mainly popular among the Japanese. I think it's got soul and heart. Chapter 1, Tanjirou begs the good guys to not kill his sister, and in response, they get angry. Tell him to never do that again. To fight instead. I liked this scene. I like this type of thing.
@Italian347 I see it quoted and referenced all the time, so the premise itself of that post is wrong. Wordplays on breathing, quotes of Tanjirou called Akaza a coward for running away, half of everything Kyoujurou said. I went to 2chan, found this on literally the first thread on frontpage.
@memeticsisyphus This one is the most surprising. The cause of death is the snake. Yes, you could've prevented it, but that's the same as saying the person being shot in the first scenario could've avoided being shot. While true, the cause of death is still the snake/shooter.
@Italian347 It is always a bit suspicious how devoid of history books these lists are. There's only three, and all pre-AD era, stuff that'd just be included in a Classical education, rather than history.
@momo_tenshei I saw the tweets making fun of you first, and thought they were fair. But I think this is a good bit of reflection on your part too, made me think better of you. Mistakes are fine. It's a good sorry and farewell message.
Good luck in your future endeavors, whatever they may be.
Seeing him cite Bloodborne or Demon's Souls as better examples reminds me that a lot of people just don't want to play From Soft games. They just want the aesthetic. They can't stand the actual gameplay.
@nygma0451 That's just your opinion. Those kids are growing up and doing a better job at separating reality from fiction (and opinions) than you. Anime isn't as new as you think it is. There's three generations of kids who grew up on it.
@nygma0451 You can call it cope all you want, it doesn't change how it's the actual reality. It's no different from a fantasy author writing about only kingdoms with monarchies and not wanting to live under one in reality. The Japanese can separate reality from fiction.
@nygma0451 There's no agenda pushing. 99% of the times, it's just the creators thinking they want an anime with only cute girls in them, and also want romance, so it ends up that way. They aren't thinking in terms of agenda.
It's no more a gay agenda than Ninja Turtles are turtle agenda.
@revenant_MMXX No, he really did make the worst videos ever on Souls games. He's the source of all the most retarded things people say about these games.
@MinModulation He had to offer an apology to Jason Schreier for this. The guy defending his own art had to apologize to the journalist for merely mentioning him.
@cogito_yuri Smogon has done permanent damage to some of you people's understanding of what is or isn't strong in a Pokemon game. It's literally the sweeper of the group. Fastest and highest damage dealing.
The anime literally ends with the protagonist accepting to work with the system after learning every single thing about how it works. After it has killed her colleagues too. It never concludes that the Sibyl system is crap.
@uncle_deluge Using GoT as an example is cheap, but it had the same issue. Early seasons had huge background casts and a lot hidden details, and the moment it lost material to adapt, it killed half of the known cast and narrowed down to basically what's shown on screen, people in rooms.
@uncle_deluge Though it diverged a lot, early seasons were still acting like a lot of the elements from the comics were happening in the background. There were characters you didn't know, doing things you didn't see. The world had a "life."
The further it went, the more it lost that "life."
@km_you Oh, that's wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing that. To actually get to see you play, not just the AI using your AC, is a very nice gift. I'll be using it as reference when I play again.
@FSoaS_ One of these is used to call the entire game bad. No one goes "all Souls games have bad runbacks :)" and leaves it at that. It's always "DS2 runbacks suck and the game sucks."
Pretending not to understand the broader context of a game's discussion is pointless.
