“In the past, we wanted to popularize console and the 1st party titles' main purpose was to make the console popular. It is true, but there is a synergy to it. So if you have strong first party content, not only with our console but also other platforms like computers, 1st party can be grown with multiplatform and that can help operating profit to improve. So that is another one we want to proactively work on.

IGN needs to chill. Skip the moralizing over perceived slights, starting witch hunts and manufacturing outrage. The gaming press needs to stop attacking game developers. And gamers.

That Warhammer YouTube comment was not controversial. It was a passionate post about what that person enjoys and wants to create. It's ok to prefer things. This does not mean other developers can't make other things.

It's ridiculous and it's a cancer within modern online gaming journalism. These witch hunts serve to silence the majority of the industry because nobody wants to step on a landmine. Which is why the press/these writers do it. They want to control the direction of gaming through their lens. They get together and time similar pieces to attack some afront. That's entirely misguided. Using the gaming press as a weapon?

Gaming press, do better. Be better. You're going the way of the Dodo.

Gamers need to also respect this as much as the press needs to respect it. Games are games. If something isn't for you, move on and vote with your dollars.

There is one facet of the game industry which cannot be denied. Capitalism. It speaks louder than anything. Find your tribe and games and support them. When things lose money you will see less of it. When things make money you will see more of it. This is where the wars should be fought. Not in the headlines.
