Where we’re about to go in the story….
THE FINAL REVERSAL
In story structure terms, it creates tension by making the audience think the protagonist has succeeded, only to have things dramatically fall apart one last time. This sets up an even more satisfying final victory when the hero ultimately prevails.
Some screenwriting guides call this moment the "crisis" or the "major setback" - it's usually followed by what's called the "climax" or "final confrontation" where the hero finally achieves true victory.
@MichaelNaussCMT I find this fascinating and have evaluated a lot of systemic trading systems. How are the signals from your pro system sent to subscribers? I ask because I would be building a system around this to automatically make the trades, not do them manually.
@garrytan I automated my monthly books and bank reconciliation process because I hated it and used to spend $500/month with a bookkeeper. Now I just answer a couple questions from my CFO agent and she sends me a report when it’s done.
@garrytan Maybe as someone surrounded by founders all day you see how people could do these manager and CEO jobs. As someone who manages real people I can tell you 90% of them would rather do nothing.
@nicolekcha It’s become really bad. I keep thinking updates will fix it, turned beta updates back on just to get a fix sooner, still nothing. Basically have to slow type each letter if I want it accurate. Swipe-text is the worst now and used to be amazing.
Life Biosciences plans to start the first human trials for reversing aging in Q1 2026.
> Life Biosciences, a Boston-based biotechnology company is poised to become the first to conduct human clinical trials for a therapy that targets aging by rejuvenating cells without altering their core function.
> They’ll use partial epigenetic reprogramming, a method to turn back a cell’s biological clock without changing its identity.
> The company is developing a cellular reprogramming treatment that, if successful, could address a wide range of age-related diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Type 2 diabetes and Parkinson’s.
> New COO Michael Ringel says company is confident as it prepares for clinical studies in glaucoma and NAION later this year.
> Longevity sector is rapidly scaling up.
Global longevity market was valued at $19.29 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach $63 billion by 2025, driven by growing investment in therapies that target aging at the cellular level rather than individual diseases.
> Major players are racing toward human trials.
Companies like Bezos-backed Altos Labs are working on cellular rejuvenation, Insilico Medicine is using AI to speed up discovery of age related drugs, and Retro Biosciences, funded by Sam Altman, aims to extend human lifespan by a decade, with plans to begin human trials for its Alzheimer’s pill.
Right now, half of my timeline is how AI will allow people to never have to buy software again because they’ll just build it for themselves. The other half are people screaming that the AI gold rush is here - start making software for people.
Sometimes I think they might be the same people.
Evidently this is an unpopular opinion: Writing in all lower case all the time (even articles!) because someone told you it was more intimate, like text messaging, makes you look like you don’t know what you’re talking about.
What if the Minnesota daycare fraud (hundreds of millions in federal funds vanishing into empty buildings and ghost programs) isn’t an isolated scandal, but the visible tip of a systemic iceberg?
DOGE’s audits of USAID and other agencies reveal similar patterns: billions in public funds quietly flowing through grants, subsidies, and contracts that prop up revenues across corporate America… from defense contractors to green energy firms and Big Tech.
Markets today price these companies at sky-high valuations, baking in the assumption of sustained “organic” profitability.
But if investors awaken to how much of that earnings power depends on transferable government support—what happens when the hidden subsidies dry up? Margins collapse. Growth stories unravel.
Overvalued empires face a brutal repricing. And that brings down the house.

The United States signed a five-year, $5.1B bilateral health cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Federal Republic of Nigeria to advance the America First Global Health Strategy. Under the MOU, the United States intends to provide $2.1 billion in support, with Nigeria investing $3.0 billion in new domestic health spending over five years - the largest co-investment by any country to date under the Strategy. This five-year MOU will strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare system, save lives, and make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous. The MOU includes approximately $200M in dedicated support to more than 900 Christian faith-based healthcare facilities, expanding access to integrated HIV, TB, malaria, and maternal and child health services. Christian faith-based clinics represent about 10% of providers in Nigeria but serve more than 30% of Nigeria's 230 million people, often in underserved areas. With Nigeria facing one of the highest maternal and child mortality rates globally and accounting for 30% of the global malaria burden, this U.S. assistance protects Nigerian and American lives while strengthening our bilateral partnership. #AmericaFirst #USForeignAssistance #GlobalHealth
