Hi Sam I think there's a misunderstanding here.
Users are told upfront that they're receiving our eUSD placeholder token until the official bridge goes live.
They're free to bridge out to USDC at any time, with no restrictions, either before or after the migration.
Happy to talk it through feel free to DM us, or take a look at our documentation. If there's any wording you think we should amend or add to make things clearer, we'd love to hear from you.

Thank you for all the support and activity on Envelope.
We've heard the feedback loud and clear.
The friction, the fees, the glitches.
Here's what we've changed 🧵
Launch fees
We set launch fees high early on to deter low-quality launches. Enough time has passed and we're now dropping it to $50.
Combined with the gas reduction, the new total cost to deploy a coin is $75.
We're fixing the issue where users lose eUSD while deploying without actually getting the deploy thru.
Please avoid deploying until the patch is made
Swapping is working fine
For those affected we will be refunding you fully for the amount you lost, DM us with all the necessary info
Due to the large influx of bridge volume our gas station was depleted of USDC quicker than we thought.
We've acquired more and are refilling them right now.
Sorry for the inconvenience
