ACT launches member's bill to stop universities offering services 'based on race'.Once doctors in Nz were old white men. That 1 size fits all approach offered didnt serve women children Māori and Pacific people well. This is racism dressed up as equality https://t.co/zasomPSMoG
“PSA said it was a sad day for the public servants who worked to preserve New Zealand’s history.”
New building but . . . what is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.

So, NZ Govt has announced policies which will increase numbers of people in prisons, but is cutting the number of staff at the Dept of Corrections? How does this add up? Or is the plan for more private prisons? Valuable Archives NZ staff also losing jobs https://t.co/N30L2yaJKP
Hard to believe news coming out of #NZ these days. Country now has a Minister of Health who wants to restrict public health professionals in Ministry of Health speaking out on #socialdeterminants of health. Addressing those is critical to improving health. https://t.co/NoXbDKPKuo
A third of preventable premature death and illness is caused by unhealthy food, alcohol and tobacco.
A fundamental role of doctors is to respond to these issues.
This government’s approach to prevention has been retrograde (tobacco, school lunches) or zero (alcohol, junk food)

🚨 Inside todays violent protest committed by thugs from Destiny Church’s Man Up & Legacy groups who stormed the Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre this afternoon in an unsuccessful bid to shut down a children’s show hosted by drag king artist Hugo Grrrl billed as a “musical, magical adventure exploring the science of the skies”.
Shout out to the brave staff from both the community centre & Auckland Pride who stood up to the violent thugs ensuring the 30 or so toddlers & other children that included a 3 month old and adults who were quote: “incredibly shaken up” were all kept safely out of harms way. Respect.
