Hoy participamos del taller regional de la OMS y GEF7 sobre la reducción progresiva del uso de amalgamas dentales en la Región de las Américas. Un espacio de intercambio para seguir avanzando hacia prácticas sanitarias más seguras para las personas y el ambiente.

Creo profundamente que la salud no se limita a la atención médica. Es prevención, calidad de vida, igualdad y responsabilidad con las personas y con las generaciones que vienen. La salud bucal también es parte de esa mirada integral.

Por eso, en las próximas semanas firmaré la ordenanza que prohibirá el uso de amalgama dental como material restaurador en todo el país, tanto en el sector público como en el privado. Un paso más para cuidar la salud y el ambiente.
