Ayodhya's Deepotsav 2026 saw over 3 million diyas illuminate the ghats along the Saryu, with CM Yogi Adityanath and Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan attending the celebrations.

In his speech, Yogi remarked that Ayodhya was illuminated with 3.6 million diyas, reflecting the state's current gross state domestic product (GSDP) of Rs 36 trillion.

He said that under the Narendra Modi government, a new Bharat was surging ahead by embracing both development and heritage. He also took a dig at opposition parties over their criticism of the government.
