The Erie Otters and Niagara IceDogs will once again participate in Rivalry Week with a Home & Home series this October!

Luckily someone within the org told another person that this is “unbelievably false” and that as long as Jeremy (Jim’s son-in-law) owns the team the team will go no where 😅.
The Otters will host their division rival the Kitchener Rangers for their home opener.
Furthermore, they will only have to be the guest for one opposing team’s home opener. (the season opener @ Guelph)

In other news… Just saw a rumor on the HFBoards (not saying they’re infallible but some on there have serious knowledge) around that upper management and the new ownership wants to move the team back to Canada. This would be a serious blow for Erie. (1/4)
I wasn’t at all expecting the Waters family to be as committed to Erie as Jim was. We’ll see what goes down but honestly we could see Erie without a team in the less than far future. I really hope not though. Still love this team despite not being as active anymore. (4/4)

The fanbase is still devoted even though they were very bad last year. From what I heard attendance wasn’t great, but nobody has really given up on the team. While I don’t understand it, I’m also not gonna act like I didn’t expect this. (3/4)
Second trade Erie made today.
Beamish is committed to PSU for the 26-27 season, but given the fact that these picks given were not conditional he may have wanted to come here and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him de-commit (or push back his commitment until 27-28).
BREAKING: We have acquired forward Liam Beamish.
In exchange, Erie sends a pair of future draft picks.
Additionally, we have acquired a 2026 13th-round pick from Sudbury in exchange for our 2027 13th-round pick.

BREAKING: We have acquired goaltender David Egorov.
In exchange, Erie sends four draft picks between 2026-29.
Additionally, we have traded the rights to Jack Good to Brantford in exchange for a 13th-round pick in 2028.

OTD: May 12th, 2017. The Erie Otters finally acquire their 2nd J. Ross Robertson Cup after 15 years, they take down the Mississauga Steelheads in 5, with an OT Winner, via Anthony Cirelli (@acirelli22) to clinch the title.
One of the greatest nights in Erie History.

Completely missed all the exceptional status drama that’s been going on lately. Guess Oshawa will be taking Tanner Adams. I see Adrian Srgo (D) next on the rankings for Erie at #2. Might have to do some looking into the options and give my 2 cents.
