Hey @GovPritzker, how’s it feel being the Illinois Governor who officially LOST the Chicago Bears?
Your record taxes, crime policies & billionaire hypocrisy just chased the greatest franchise in NFL history across the border to Indiana.
Congrats, JB — even the Bears couldn’t stomach another decade of Pritzker failure.
Why the Chicago Bears going to
Indiana is the best move
1. Soldier Field will always be historic to us, but due to the poor renovation in 2003, it lost its historic landmark status that would’ve saved millions of dollars in tax credits. The renovation of soldier field should have been carried out like Wrigley Field, which was able to keep its landmark title.
2. Ted Phillips and the city of Chicago poorly planned out the funding aspect of the renovation. Taxpayers still owe 535 million dollars today, and the Chicago Bears are not liable to pay it at all!
The Bears can walk away sky free because the debt falls on the city of Chicago
Why wouldn’t Illinois help Bears build new stadium in Arlington and allow the profits to pay off all debt entirely!!?
3. Indiana has offered far more flexibility and funding the entire process. They have even offered to foot majority of the funding for the stadium.
That’s who you do business with. Someone that understands the cultural and economical value of the Chicago Bears.
4. God will bless the Chicago Bears organization for investing into an area that was robbed of opportunity. Trust and believe that Bears fan base will continue to support their Chicago Bears! Bears will build one of the greatest stadiums in sports history!
I’m hoping for the largest pro shop ever!
5. Hammond Pros was one of the original NFL teams. Bears founder George Halas actually played with the Hammond Pros prior to Staleys.
This is meant to be!!
Chicago Bears are here to stay!
But their games will be played in Hammond Indiana. A location that was a part of the genesis of the NFL.
That’s history!
Bears down!
I am disappointed the Bears are leaving Chicago/Illinois. A new stadium will be amazing but I will definitely miss the lakefront view etc. and Arlington Heights had promise. No idea what they do with that land now.
Hoosiers, help me welcome the Chicago Bears to our great state!
We look forward to building a partnership as strong as the '85 Bears defense, creating opportunities and economic growth that will benefit our state and the Bears organization for decades to come.
An NFL franchise in Northwest Indiana will be an economic boost to the entire region like we haven’t seen before.
Thank you to Speaker Huston, the legislature, and Mayor McDermott for their partnership. I also want to thank the entire Chicago Bears organization for their partnership and commitment in making this move a reality.
Welcome to Indiana!
The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site.
As one source said, “There is more work to do but barring anything very strange, it’s a done deal.”
Once finalized, the move would bring the Bears across state lines into Indiana, ending decades of speculation surrounding potential stadium sites in Illinois.
So under full Republican control, the Republican controlled Senate can’t pass the Save America Act for election integrity, the House just passed a bill giving another $9 billion to Ukraine, Republicans are planning to merge our military with Israel’s military while Trump has us in another foreign war that’s costing $2 billion a day and has driven gas over $4.50, and not a single person has been held accountable for the pedo Epstein files.
