The AMPTP has been willing to negotiate on 7 of 148 WGA strike days & 7 of 104 SAG-AFTRA strike days.
If anyone is bitching about how long this has taken, please assign blame appropriately.

The WGA reached a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. Today, our Negotiating Committee, WGAW Board, and WGAE Council all voted unanimously to recommend the agreement. The strike ends at 12:01 am. Check out our deal at https://t.co/c0ULMXhPL7. #WGAStrong

Look, we’d all love the opportunity to “parse through” something at least once in our lives… this just wasn’t that time.
@slack2thefuture it’s truly amazing that the AMPTP can’t just negotiate. They can’t help themselves with the bullshit.
Another @slack2thefuture GEM!
We are waaaay smarter than the AMPTP seems to think we are. Maybe one of these days they’ll stop fucking around and actually sit down to try and settle this thing.
The real strike team! The shield reunion today at Fox studios was a bittersweet affair. While it was wonderful to see my old friends together again we all wish it was for reasons that weren’t necessary. @sagaftra@WGAWest@WGAEast
No one breaks it down better than @slack2thefuture - do these companies really believe that we’ll just take their word on this stuff? We are writers. We love research.
Hey SAG-AFTRA members! I know a lot of well-meaning WGA members are telling you that if you have questions, you need to Talk to Your Captain. You are not wrong to find this confusing. Our system is new and different from theirs, so you don’t have a Captain to ask! 🧵
Must listen to podcast where Chat GPT (in its own plagiaristic words) warns us it’s coming after all our jobs and reminds us what we’re fighting for in the current @AMPTP imposed writers strike.
Thanks @BillyRay5229
1) This week would have seen the opening of almost all broadcast network tv writers rooms.
2) Every week the AMPTP refuses to deal, the fall season gets delayed a week.
3) The networks are sacrificing their peak season to support streamers who are out to crush them.
4) Dumb.
"I sincerely hope the strike gets resolved, and writers are given a fair deal as soon as possible. This is an iconic, meaningful American industry & we need the writers—and all the workers—to tell the stories of our nation, and the stories of all of us." - @POTUS#WGAStrong#1u
