The new floodlights are now installed. The new lights are more focused, reducing light spillage aswell as reducing our carbon footprint. Thank you to the parish council for your assistance with this project.

No secret from the gaffer that the focus now is on giving our young players the chance to step up.

Last Saturday, we saw 8 U21s in the squad, with 6 starting, and they didn’t disappoint.

A strong, dominant second-half performance saw us extend our run to 4 games unbeaten, with the next generation really stepping up when it mattered.

We welcome @AfcUckfieldTown to Lashmar Road this afternoon, a side in strong form, unbeaten in the league since early January, so we know this won’t be easy.

It’s been a season of ups and downs, but this group keeps turning up, keeps competing, and today is another chance to put in a performance in front of our own supporters.

First of all, an apology for the quiet week on here.

Like most grassroots clubs, everything at East Preston FC is run by volunteers, and sometimes the day jobs take over a bit more than we’d like. This week was one of those weeks — but we’re back and there’s football to talk about again.

And it’s a big one today.

Just a few weeks ago we faced Oakwood in the Cup Semi-Final — a proper battle that went all the way to penalties. The lads showed incredible character that night, fighting back twice before eventually losing out in the shootout.

Now we meet again… this time in the league.

With the table as tight as it is, every point matters and the boys know exactly what kind of fight to expect today. These are the games that define a season.

Back On The Road Tomorrow ⚽

After Tuesday night’s game against Jarvis Brook, it was a tale of two halves.

We didn’t quite get going in the first half and gave them a few too many chances. But the response after the break was much better, and on another day, we probably come away with at least a point.
