@blogpreston I'm pretty sure that technically, nthe stretch of canal from Johnson's Hillock Locks that now terminates at Town Lane, Whittle-le-Woods but originally extended to Walton Summit is the Lancaster Canal, rather than the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
@woodyardend1996@BamberBridgeFC@pnefc Let's hope not - or if it is, it should be clearly stated well in advance. Historically, this match has given a much needed financial boost to Bamber Bridge. We should do all we can to support local non-league clubs.
@carl_stein_@blogpreston True, because they just kept replacing one duffer with another. Unfortunately, none of Labour's likely leadership contenders give any reason to think things will be any different with the current government.
@ChampionshpTalk Baffling; put a lot of money into the club to keep it afloat - but no more. Never seemed to be a plan. Why put ยฃ10m + pa into a business without any prospect of getting most of it back?
Some extra support at crucial times and they could have won the jackpot of promotion.
@PNEFCPost ...also, after the team's performance since the turn of the year, fans have every right to be critical. They pay hard earned money to support the team and deserve better - especially from players earning more in a week than some earn in 6 months.
@PNEFCPost Alex Neil wasn't 'chased out'. He basically gave up as he didn't get the financial support he felt he deserved. He didn't, that's true, but he wasn't 'chased out' and it's disrespectful to the fans to say he was.
@NorthEndNobber The badge is an improvement on the current one, but I'd still like to see the 'PP' incorporated in some way as it's synonymous with PNE.
@NorthEndNobber Not sure about this one. The blue shirt couldn't be worn against the likes of Rovers and probably not West Brom and this, to me, isn't a big enough contrast from white. Given a couple of our early shirts were red/white, why not red (as sometimes worn in the 50s/60s).
@ZackPolanski Completely agree, but having a leadership contest to replace not only the leader but the actual PM of the UK would be even more of a distraction at this time. Quite apart from the fact that there is no-one in the Labour Party who would do any better...
