@TheProspectDon Stenberg isn't going past 3,he's been compared to the Sedin twins so in what world do people think Vancouver doesn't take him if he's available
@CanucksArmy Stenberg he and Gavin McKenna have been a toss up for the top spot this year and if that's not enough he's be stated as the best sweedish player in the drafts since the Sedin twins so why wouldn't we take him if he's the best player available and we have the twin to guide him
@BR_OpenIce@HeleneStJames I could see him landing in minnesota because they're building a pretty good team that could win the cup in years to come but he may choose the Panthers for the nice weather in Florida
@doaner1976 I feel like you have to value the younger good players because the bad teams won't be good for years and lots of these guys will be past their prime when the team is ready to try winning
@MoeJoe44649@mikevule@massmutual I really doubt the best defenseman will be around, lots of teams need them badly for either rebuilding or to be a proper playoff team so they will go quick,if Vancouver didn't need offense so bad they would probably grab Verhoeff
@rakingfeet@Antoniokolstee Quinn isn't coming back,he wanted to play for an American team and one that's a playoff team,Canucks are none of those things plus we're rebuilding we want young prospects and draft picks so we need to stay away from the Hughes brothers
@Hockeytalky777@Petespucks@FreePeteyEP40 So basically if not for the extra time need to get him in the NHL he would be more valuable,he would be a good one for the Canucks if we went with a defenseman
@Petespucks@FreePeteyEP40 Why Reid over Verhoeff? Verhoeff I get isn't as ready but I feel he's so slept on considering he's a big defenseman that basically just need to be more aggressive which can't be too hard to teach to him
@TheProspectDon I don't understand why more people don't rank Verhoeff as the best D-man this year, sure he needs to be more aggressive and won't be NHL ready as quick as some but he has size over the others and size can't be taught,so much up sides to the guy
@EastVan808@dchana That's the thing Canucks want Stenberg but will take Malhotra if Stenberg is taken so the asking price would have to be reasonable for Canucks to want to move up
@SonicSpeeds17@kaitalkscanucks Even if say it takes the guy a year or 2 the long term results are a big player who can play on line 1,zone out opponents with his size and possibly be a protector of other guys on the team, and we're rebuilding for about 7 years so we're in no rush
@BlastyProspects Canucks are taking Stenberg if he's available, the guy was compared to the Sedin twin so in what world do Canucks not take a Swedish player compared to the twins
