Cumbrian in IL. Used to go to more loud gigs than healthy. The day to day account behind Ian's World Of Sports - @IanWorldofSport. Still mostly sports here.
@pullbuoy Definitely nobody in the 100m BR if we didn't take G I-B.
Although I'm obviously always happy to see other HNs doing well, I was being a bit parochial about England only. I suppose we'll have to live vicariously through Yorkshire's finest Northern Irishman on this occasion. 😂
@pullbuoy Yeah, I was putting Abbie into the medley relay in my head.
I was also trading off that relay for representation men's distance events & back up for Cox (presuming more likely that we see female BK in mixed than BR). But again, that's just me, I get why they did what they did.
If the ref/VAR decided that one of the other fouls happening took priority (Tross, Rice etc), fair enough. But you don't not give a foul to *some* team for what happened.
I suspect if we looked back at all corners by both sides you could give multiple fouls for each side.
VAR discussion is crazy. Should refs give multiple fouls against all teams - Arsenal included - for everything that happens at every corner? Absolutely.
But Raya clearly & obviously being fouled. No debate about that. The debate should be about consistency of application.
Yes, no football team ever surrounded the keeper and did this before a corner/long throw before the evil cads at Arsenal thought of it.
Damn you Nicolas Jover!!
👊 Jostling, holding, pushing the 'keeper into the net & creating a penalty area moshpit...
#afc started this chaos. It's high time @FA_PGMOL got a grip - or corners will becoming football's equivalent of rugby scrums

@danielstorey85 I take your point that if the fanbase gets nervous, it could make it hard viewing and potentially those nerves get transmitted to the players.
But doesn't that say more about the views/expectations of the fanbase than anything else?
@danielstorey85 A fair article. But the stat that interested me was the failure to win away by more than 1 goal.
But that same stat - at least from a quick glance - appears to be true of all of the top 6 except Chelsea.
Would that not indicate that winning big away in the PL is quite tough?
Look I'm not saying that teams should be looking to hire McDermott or McDaniel ahead of other options, but I would point out that the Conference games this weekend are both Sean vs Mike...
