Yesterday, my Dad’s wallet got missing in my house. Mum had turned the entire house upside down looking for it, to no avail. My security guy was around, it was also the same day the cleaners were in the house.
Mum called and asked me to block my Dad’s ATM card cos she was sure the wallet was stolen. I said that won’t be necessary cos we didn’t have any new guests, and no one else would have stolen it.
“ask the security guy, i don’t trust him”,
“But i do mama” i replied her
She was furious (I mean looking for things can be really frustrating), but she was more annoyed on why i wasn’t bothering to ask the security guy 😂
She continued on how she has noticed he inflates prices of certain items we send him to buy, i said i know he does that 😄
She’s like why do i allow it, “if he can do that then he can also steal”
I said nah, if i don’t allow it that’s when the real stealing will start. I also give him and the cleaners money regularly and so far i’ve not lost any item 🤷🏻♂️
Several times i’ve left money in my room, traveled and came back and it will be complete. He’s been with me for almost 4 years.
Mum was still not having it, i just went to my Dad and told him to make sure she didn’t confront the security guy about it, if we don’t find it by the next day then i’ll replace all the items in it.
Well few hours later, my mum found it where it had fallen by the dresser in her room.🫠 Me and my dad just looked at ourselves and smiled 🤣
I’m not bothered about the N200-N500 ish padded, when i can spend millions in a club, certain things you just overlook so everyone is happy.
Underpaying workers, Over-working them are few of the things that will make them steal from you. I mean have you seen the economy?
Creating a less hostile environment for your workers, will bring the loyalty you’re looking for.
