In Barca vs Getafe match the ball was NOT in play for 61.5 minutes and out of the 15 minutes of extra time, only 2.5 minutes were actually played (soak those numbers in for a minute and realize how insane that is).

And it's not even on Getafe's manager. He's just taking advantage of a broken system.

This begins right at the top from Mr. Javier Tebas to the Spanish referees, who btw are the HIGHEST PAID referees in the world (€250k/Year).

I know PL fans saw Xavi's little rant on BR Football and ESPN, and thought "ha look at Xavi with his excuses again" but you have to realize where his rant was coming from. This is a man who played in Prime La Liga, he knows what he's talking about.

Xavi was not even criticizing Getafe's way of playing, he was criticizing La Liga as a whole. This is what our league has become. Majority of the teams are broke and can't register players on time and when we are done with registering, every match is the FUVKING same - low block, boring, uninspired BS, with the players getting bored and starting to fight between themselves because there's no actual football going on.

@Tebasjavier is a case study of how to NOT run a Football League. This guy loves to criticize other leagues like PL and Saudi for splashing money, or Ligue 1 for allowing PSG to exist, but this absolute human garbage has no self-awareness himself. Anytime someone criticizes him, his response is somewhere along the lines of "Everything is fine, only Barcelona is ruining our league."

I have actually never ever seen a league President so obsessed with a club, that he actively tries to destroy them, thereby neglecting the rest of the league (except his beloved Madrid 😇). Other Presidents are bringing in record TV revenue deals unlike this donkey who actively seeks to destroy one of his two biggest assets while forcing clubs to sign an illegal CVC deal (that he profits from with his other company btw).

Pique was spot on when he said that Tebas had the best teams, prime versions of the absolute BEST players in the world just a decade ago, and he managed to do absolutely nothing with it. Imagine having prime Barca, Madrid, and Atletico, and still having a lower TV revenue deal than a league where they have had the same winners for 11 years in a row.

I actually have not been able to bring myself to watch a single La Liga match in full since the last 8 months despite my favourite clubs and player being there because it just isn't worth it.

It's not football, it's something else.
