We have been confronted by the Iranian regime sanctioning more Members of @Europarl_EN. This is a badge of honour they wear proudly.
This Parliament will not be silenced. Our determination to support women, life and liberty in Iran will only get stronger.
European progress was possible thanks to daring solutions.
Moving forward we need to change and keep evolving. Together.
As @Bundeskanzler@OlafScholz said, 'We need an enlarged and reformed European Union, which is open to the future.'

We must continue to work hand in hand with both employers & employees to reap best results for citizens. This means overcoming the idea that WLB measures are incompatible with productivity. @roselynborg
Today we remember the journalists who lost their lives for the truth, and especially #DaphneCaruanaGalizia.
Reporting is challenging, particularly when gov censors information and obstructs journalists.
This is why I continue to support their work in Malta and in the @Europarl_EN
In World Press Freedom Index, Malta has dropped 6️⃣ places, from 78 in 2022 to 84 in 2023. Press Freedom Index is better in Chile, Congo & Ecuador than in #Malta. @RSF_inter
In the #EPlenary we confirmed our @EPPGroup led deal on the #SocialClimateFund with a large majority. This decision is good news for our climate and for citizens. With a fund of €86.7 billion, it will ensure a fair and socially inclusive climate transition for all Europeans.
During #EPlenary, @EP_President@RobertaMetsola condemned the violent acts in Sudan.
Clashes causing deaths & tonight, an assault on EU ambassador @aafxoh@Europarl_EN calls on all parties to cease hostilities & ensure safety of entire population.

4 students arrested & strip searched for revealing a flaw in an app that compromised user data.
Meanwhile, criminals who embezzled millions still roam free.
Typically strong with the weak, while the real criminals continue pigging out on the Maltese taxpayer with impunity.
In Malta for @RobertAquilina3's book launch, exposing the Government's cover up of the Pilatus Bank scandal.
Full support to those who strive for truth and justice.
@VeraJourova@jeroen_lenaers @SophieintVeld
We knew the institutions were hijacked. But it is no less shocking seeing the extent of the rot printed in black and white.
Not only should this publication lead to mass resignations. Those involved should be prosecuted for derailing the justice they were charged with securing.
Nor will we allow the #RuleOfLaw in Malta to further deteriorate. 5.5 years have passed since the assassination of #DaphneCaruanaGalizia. We pledge to highlight this @Europarl_EN until justice is fully served. It's time for those responsible to be held accountable. #EndImpunity
Peace and reconciliation.
This is what the Good Friday Agreement 25 years ago was all about.
Values which we must still protect today. https://t.co/drwIA2nYVm
Corruption, crime, murder, theft & perjury: The Maltese justice system drags on and on, with kafkesque investigations and botched prosecutions.
A critic publishes damning evidence: a corrupt Maltese MP wants him arrested and forces him out of the country.
Simply shocking.
A shameless attempt to defend the indefensible with incomprehensible and pathetic diversion tactics. If the Prime Minister can’t undertand that what’s in those chats exposes a fundamental incompatibility with political office than it’s Abela himself that has to go.
Keith Schembri is under investigation for money laundering & corruption.
Robert Abela's government saw it fit to continue awarding him with tenders & direct orders running into tens of thousands of euro.
Those who play by the book need not apply. "Kulħadd jitħanżer," indeed.
