Autumn repaints the forest scene,
In bronze it colours o’er dull green.
It all will go to golden later –
What a clever decorator.

On branches bare but days ago,
As though trapped in a winter world,
The foliage finally seems to know –
“It’s spring – it’s time that I unfurled!”

It's officially #bluebell season in #EppingForest! If you're heading to Chalet Wood in #WansteadPark please may we ask you to stick to the designated log pathways and, as with all wildflowers in the Forest, please do not pick the flowers. Help us conserve this delightful flora!

Let us give thanks
For Ambresbury Banks!
Let me be the one to announce it!
We cannot be sure
What is was used for
Nor precisely the way to pronounce it.
