Congratulations graduates on reaching this important milestone in your lives! Your accomplishments have been significant during your time at #EPSB, and I know you will continue to impress us as you move forward.
Hey 2020 #EPSB grads: the way you’ve handled this year is amazing! But don’t take our word for it. We asked some notable Albertans what they think and the consensus is in: you’re an incredible group. Congrats! #grad2020
At #EPSB, we serve a diverse community of students who need to feel safe, valued, respected and supported so they can learn. We must model for our children the type of world we want to see. We must continue to work to eliminate racism in our schools and community.
As recent events in the U.S. intensify our conversations around racism, we are experiencing a significant moment in history. Education has a pivotal role to play in the elimination of racism, and we must dedicate ourselves to that task.
Thanks to the @EPSFoundation for inviting me to pick up a book today. Join me and support #fulldayk by participating in #ReadingforLife. Together, we can make sure that all students succeed.
I am proud of our students, staff and families for rising to this challenge. We all miss being together, but I have heard many stories of the meaningful connections that are being made. These connections are vital and I know they will help get us through this difficult time.
After two weeks of distance and online learning, we want to say thank you to our #EPSB community for making the best of this challenging situation. We know that online learning is not the same as being together in person, but we appreciate all you’re doing to stay connected.
Our staff have been working hard to prepare for what’s ahead. Here’s my update on how we’re transitioning to digital learning. I hope you have a restful spring break!
As we head into spring break, @EPSB_Super Darrel Robertson has a message for families about how we will ensure our students continue to be successful as we transition to digital learning. #EPSB#yeg
I also want to thank #EPSB staff who have been working hard as we navigate uncharted waters together. I’ve received incredible feedback about the commitment you’ve shown to students and your communities during this time.
We have heard your questions about student learning during school closures. We will be working on plans to deliver the curriculum and assess student learning. Please monitor SchoolZone, our website and @EPSBNews for updates: https://t.co/qAMyyyOljg
The Alberta Government has cancelled all classes indefinitely across the province. #EPSB schools are closed to students starting Monday, March 16. Staff will still attend work. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
Extremely saddened to hear of the passing of @EdmCathSchools Superintendent Joan Carr. She was a devoted educator and a respected colleague. Our deepest condolences to her family and colleagues from @EPSBNews
We are heartbroken today after losing two students in the devastating plane crash in Tehran. Our thoughts and condolences are with their families and school communities as we all mourn their loss. Support services teams are working with students and staff at the impacted schools.
Thinking about Remembrance Day coming up on Monday. The service and sacrifice of the men and women of our military - past and present - can never be forgotten. We owe so much to so many. #LestWeForget
Join us in celebrating Custodial Staff Appreciation Day on Wednesday, October 2. Check out what #EPSB students had to say about the custodial staff who make our District buildings shine and keep students and staff healthy and safe! @CupeAB Local 474 #EPSBappreciate
Many #EPSB schools marked #OrangeShirtDay2019 to raise awareness of the experiences of residential school survivors and to commit to working together in reconciliation. Thank you to everyone who wore orange to show that every child matters. #yeg
More than 105,000 students coming through #EPSB doors this morning! To all our students, families and staff: have a wonderful first day of school and a fantastic year.
Thanks to all the families who joined us at the First Riders event in #yeg today! These students can head back to school confident in their bus-safety knowledge. #EPSB
