The new government plans to limit branded school uniform items, making it easier for parents to reuse and buy second hand. Using an item of clothing for an extra 9 months drastically reduces it’s carbon footprint - so it’s a win for parents and the planet! https://t.co/u5fsORqe4w

Whilst on my daily early morning litterpick, a very nice lady stopped and presented me with some choices to say thank you. Us litterpickers don't usually pick for reward but it was so nice. Keep it up everyone. You are appreciated 💚
People moaning on here about the new plastic bottle tops (that are connected to the bottle) being woke or forced on them by the EU are big entitled idiot babies.
Here's why it matters:
National Highways = National Disgrace
This is what England's motorways look like all over the country. Not only are @NationalHways totally useless at looking after the motorways, but they're guilty of littering on an epic scale themselves! @campbellclaret
The vast, vast majority of people
choose not to drop and leave litter 🚯
Vehicle owners will also be responsible for litter deposited from their vehicles - even by passengers

Roads in Surrey have been closed following an oil spill. A lorry has leaked 16000 litres of diesel for 10 miles along the A24 from Beare Green to Leatherhead & on to the M25 at junction nine. Drivers are being warned of "extensive traffic disruption" over the next couple of days.
Litter is a fire hazard 🔥
Smouldering single-use barbecues and littered glass can cause grass and open land fires which harm people and wildlife, and put pressure on our emergency services.
Each year, approximately 640,000 tonnes of fishing nets ends up as plastic waste in our oceans. The Ocean Recovery Project are tackling this with the UK’s first fishing net recycling programme, whilst helping to power the UK’s circular economy. ♻️
