EQUALITY KANSAS is dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The most offensive comment is at the 38 minute mark where the speaker states that if we pass this NDO then there will be parades of people performing homosexual sex acts in the streets.

Below is feed from last night's @CityofOlatheKS Meeting. Please be aware some of these speakers make derogatory & hateful comments. Our Chair @b_hoedl speaks at the 9 min mark. The video illustrates why this ordinance is needed & how the city council can truly make #OlatheProud.

Bravo to @MerriamKS! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 #EqualRightsForAll @LGBTQ

The City’s recently approved non-discrimination ordinance officially took effect on January 22. https://t.co/T8VU2kPUwx

Multiple cities in Johnson County, Kansas have provided models on how to pass a non-discrimination ordinance that covers #LGBTQ residents. We believe @CityofOlatheKS has a duty to its citizens to follow suit. We are here to work with the city to provide any assistance needed!

[Brett Hoedl @b_hoedl]

I'm not happy with the way the @CityofOlatheKS is handling the request from citizens to add #LGBTQ protections in our city, but I'm extremely #OlatheProud of the way our community shows up when needed. 25 supporters on a night with terrible weather! #NDO #OlatheCityCouncil

Our friends at @IKEAUSA, passed along their statement to the @MerriamKS City Council meeting on Monday.

Please thank them for their leadership and standing up for the rights and dignity of not only their employees and customers, but also the community as a whole! #LGBTQ #NDO

It's been a great week so far in Kansas. @MerriamKS added #LGBTQ protections in it's non-discrimination ordinance and @GovLauraKelly signed an EO adding protections for LGBTQ state workers and contractors.

Our hope is that the rest of the JoCo cities firm up plans to put LGBTQ+ protections on their agendas and not keep residents waiting and wondering on if their city leaders value equality! A huge thank you to the cities that have lead in this effort! #EqualityForAll #LGBTQ #NDO

Other Shawnee Mission area cities plan to look at LGBTQ+ protection ordinances, but no firm plans are set https://t.co/Dmcl4XkKRg
