Our message is - anytime you see GENDER being used in policy or law when it should be SEX challenge it (politely) and ask that the organisation changes it. They may not reply but be that broken record. Escalate it. [email protected]
We have written to @ScotCharityReg and asked them what they are doing to ensure charities comply with EHRC code of practice on single sex spaces as the Charity Commission in England has done 👇

The NHS chooses to promote the desires of a group of men over the needs, dignity and safety of women.
We call on @ehrc to insist that every single NHS organisation obeys the law to keep us safe.
@seeninhealth has done incredible work with their interactive map that allows us to see exactly what the policies are and how to write to the chief executive of the offending hospital.

Incredibly insightful article by Aidan O’Neill KC.
A 20 year long experiment on the most vulnerable and traumatised people in our society - women in the female estate. 20 years!

It's SNP Scotland: a place where women's rights are viewed as optional, being found to have dangerous, harmful, unlawful policies is responded to with a shrug... The good news: we've also got For Women Scotland. 🥳
This week's Scotsman piece.

It seems @dundeeuni STILL haven't removed this unlawful nonsense.

We are a little rejuvenated post election so can woman this account once again! Hooray. Please note although this account isn't very active we still have an email address if there are issues you want to share/highlight. Something tells us there's still going to be rather a lot!
their incredible achievement in getting the law clarified in relation to the protected characteristic of sex. Absolutely groundbreaking. Ciao grazie. ♀️
This account will shortly be closing due to other commitments that members have. We hope we have contributed a little in terms of ensuring that language specific to women and girls has been promoted in life, policy and law. Very specifically we'd like to thank @ForWomenScot for
As a law firm @SintonsLaw you might note the EHRC has nothing to say about "gender identity", it's not a protected characteristic. Nor is the guidance for employers. Importantly, the UKSC FWS ruling was about the definition of sex in the EA, which you entirely fail to mention.
"Language shapes law, and law shapes who is prosecuted, who is protected, and who is abandoned.” We do not bend on the use of language for women and girls and mothers. Thank you Reem Alsalem 🙏#CEDAW
“What CEDAW did in its February 2026 Netherlands report was by no means a minor editorial misstep, this was an institutional failure of the first order. This failure has consequences in the real world, because language shapes law, and law shapes who is prosecuted, who is protected, and who is abandoned.” ✍🏼@MatteaMerta
