Activist: "Then just don't have the cow."

Farmer: "The rain still falls. The grass still drinks it. The water cycles back into the air anyway, just without anyone getting fed in the middle."

Activist: "It's not that simple."

Farmer: "It's rain, grass, cow, river. Or it's rain, grass, rot, river. Same circle, fewer dinners. Meanwhile every almond in your milk took a gallon of pumped aquifer water in California to grow. That one you might want to worry about. The rain in Wales is doing fine without your concern."

It cannot be disputed just how versatile the ex-racehorse is. In the right hands with the correct training they can turn their hooves to anything. There is no longer an equestrian sport that does not have a former racehorse within its ranks; and indeed amongst our rehomed band we have horses taking part in just about every sport which is such a super positive. .
It never ceases to amaze that the vast majority of these wonderful horses adapt so well to a totally new lifestyle.
Whether attending competitions, training clinics and camps or enjoying forest and beach rides, the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy your horse, build that relationship and bond.
One absolutely wonderful partnership is that of Poppy and Mubhij [ex-Shadwell].
Originally homed last Spring to "Mum", Mubby was soon taken over by young 12 year old Poppy and their relationship flourished. if they are not out competing, they are at Pony Club but best of all they love their capers out in the countryside.
Mubby has proven to be such a trustworthy, safe, faithful little friend to Poppy. She is a confident little rider and they feed off each other ; they really are the best of friends.
With the world in its current state swamped by aggression, devastation and distress it is so heart-warming to receive videos like this one of a young girl having such a carefree time with her best friends. 📷
Please note: we do not rehome ex-racehorses to those under the age of 16 years unless there is proven experience. In this instance, Mubby was rehomed to Mum, not her young daughter; that the situation is different is a family matter.

As a farming family obviously have no loathing.
Yes we like pounds and ounces, our currency etc. UK is an island, we should retain our own identity and not got swamped by a load of EU bureaucracy.
Starmer tries to make the country believe the UK gets a good deal when he sets off around the world negotiating but all his “deals” end up costing the UK in some form or another.
The NFU are very concerned.
